Eligibility to Apply for Townsville Business Awards

Criteria:

  1. ABN and Registered Address:
    • Businesses must have a unique Australian Business Number (ABN) and a registered business or physical address within the boundaries of the Townsville City Council.
  2. Trading History:
    • Businesses must have a minimum trading history of 12 months within the region as of 1 July 2024
  3. Category Entry:
    • A business can enter as many categories as possible, but each must be a new application
  4. Disclosure of Litigation or Insolvency:
    • The applicant must disclose to the awards committee any litigation or insolvency proceedings that may foreseeably affect the reputation of the applicant or, by association, the Townsville Chamber of Commerce.
  5. Judges' Discretion:
    • The Townsville Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to declare any submission ineligible if, in the reasonable opinion of the judges, the entrant is unable to represent or promote the awards in a satisfactory manner. The applicant must not, to their knowledge, be involved in any unlawful or illegal conduct.
  6. Accuracy of Information:
    • Applicants must provide honest and accurate answers to all questions. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  7. Past Winners:
    • Past winners are not allowed to enter the same category in which they won the previous year. They can, however, enter another category or re-enter the same category if more than 12 months have passed since they won.
  8. Membership:
    • You or your employer must be a financial member of the Townsville Chamber of Commerce to enter the Townsville Business Awards. Find out about becoming a member.
