ADDITIONAL DISASTER SUPPORT ANNOUNCED

If your business has been impacted by flooding, financial support is now available to assist in recovery efforts. The Queensland Government has activated concessional loans and is seeking feedback from affected businesses through a survey.

BUSINESS LOANS ANNOUNCED

Eligible farmers, small businesses, and not-for-profits in Burdekin, Cairns, Cassowary Coast, Hinchinbrook, Palm Island, Townsville, and Yarrabah can now apply for financial assistance:

Disaster Assistance Loans
- Up to $250,000 for primary producers & small businesses
- Up to $100,000 for not-for-profits
- Covers repairs/replacement of equipment, buildings, stock, and livestock

Essential Working Capital Loans
- Up to $100,000 for wages, rent, rates, and creditors to keep operations running

Freight Subsidies for Primary Producers
- Up to $5,000 for moving stock, feed, machinery, and more

INSURANCE Support
Contact your insurer as soon as possible to start your claim process. The Insurance Council of Australia has set up an insurance hub at Townsville RSL Stadium, Annandale, with representatives from Suncorp, RACQ, IAG, Hollard, Allianz, and Youi available to provide guidance and process claims.
