CanTeen Australia

We get it. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer crashes into a young person's world and shatters everything. CanTeen is the game changer. We help young people cope with cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they've been diagnosed themselves, we provide specialist, youth-specific treatment teams.

Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism

The Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Inc. is a membership based not-for-profit organisation that was established over 30 years ago in the town of Ingham in Tropical North Queensland. The Hinchinbrook Region covers the area from Mutarnee to the southern boundaries of the Cassowary Coast. Ingham is the commercial centre. Home Hill Chamber of Commerce

The sugar cane farms in this region produce more tons of sugar per hectare than any other place in the world. Our sugar cane has the highest sugar content of any - it's sweet. JCU Townsville Fire

The JCU Townsville Fire participates in the Women's National Basketball League and is the only female professional sporting team of any code in Northern Australia. Leukaemia Foundation

Every day, 31 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer. The Leukaemia Foundation's Vision to Cure and Mission to Care means that blood cancer patients have a home away from home during treatment, financial and emotional support and counseling - all free of charge, while researchers continue the search for cures. With no direct government funding, we rely on the generosity of businesses and people like YOU to support our fund raising campaigns. Together, we WILL beat blood cancer.

Ronald McDonald House North Queensland

Ronald McDonald House North Queensland provides accommodation for NQ families with seriously ill children from rural areas of North & North West Queensland. Since 2004 we have supported over 2400 families who otherwise wouldn't have had anywhere to stay whilst their child was receiving treatment at the Townsville Hospital. We support a number of different families from all backgrounds from the Outback to the Cape and some overseas families. We proudly represent a growing population in the North.

Sharehouse Youth Accommodation Program

We offer crisis accommodation and support to 15 to 21year olds who are homeless or about to become homeless. We also have units of accommodation in the community which we can house 16 -25 year olds with support to assist them to sustain tenancies and progress in education, apprenticeships or the workforce.

Townsville Intercultural Centre

Townsville Intercultural Centre is a community-based organisation funded by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs. The aim of the Centre is to assist recently arrived migrants, permanent residents and refugee and humanitarian entrants with their settlement in the region. TIC assists recently arrived clients to overcome the barriers and obstacles that may disadvantage them due to cultural and language differences.

Townsville Multicultural Support Group

TMSG is in the business of welcoming new refugees to North West QLD and through its vision for social justice, working collaboratively with local, national and international organisations to create a harmonious, multicultural and inclusive society. TMSG delivers a range of Settlement Services as contracted by the Australian Governments Department of Social Services. It has partnerships with SOLAS for a community mental health program and a research partnership with the University of NSW.

YWAM Medical Ships

YWAM Medical Ships is a registered charity, headquartered in Townsville. YWAM Medical Ships deploys medical ships and land-based teams to some of Papua New Guinea's most remote areas. YWAM's teams of volunteers deliver immunisations, maternal health services, dental procedures, optical services, health promotion and training and support for local health workers. All of YWAM's programs are achieved in collaboration with PNG's National Department of Health and provincial health providers.
